Paranga Flowers Kir-Yianni Domaine
€8,70
Paranga Flowers by Kir-Yianni Estate is a rosé wine with bright fruit, a refreshing mood and exactly the kind of effortless charm you want from a wine for any moment. The winery’s official page lists it as a varietal rosé wine from Xinomavro and Merlot, with 12% alcohol, while its profile moves in a more aromatic, soft and easy-drinking direction.
In the glass, it has a bright salmon color and a nose full of red fruit, mainly strawberry and cherry, along with notes of peach and flowers. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity and pleasantly soft, with acidity balancing the subtle sweet sensation beautifully and leading to a light, aromatic finish.
The winemaking focuses on keeping the fresh and floral character of the wine clean. The bunches go through careful sorting, each variety is handled separately and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine then stays for around 2 months in contact with the fine lees, with gentle stirring that enhances aroma, volume and a more pleasant mouthfeel.
Paranga Flowers is one of those rosé wines that does not ask for much thought, but still has enough personality to stand at the table. Serve it chilled and pair it with light dishes, soft white cheeses, salads, Mediterranean appetizers, spicy flavors and relaxed aperitivo-style meals. A rosé with freshness, fruit and the more floral side of the Paranga range.
