Mple Trakter Red Kir-Yianni Domaine

Blue Tractor Red by Kir-Yianni Estate is a red wine with fruit, structure and relaxed confidence. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah brings together dark fruit, spice and a round texture, in a wine that is easy to enjoy but has enough intensity to stand next to food.

In the glass, it has a deep ruby color with purple highlights. The nose moves through dark fruits, sweet spices and subtle notes of vanilla and smoke from the oak. On the palate, blackberry and blackcurrant come through more clearly, with balanced acidity, tender tannins and a finish that lingers pleasantly without feeling heavy.

Its winemaking gives it this soft yet integrated feel. The grapes are hand-harvested, go through strict sorting and ferment in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in French oak barrels, gaining a more velvety texture, gentle smoky hints and better balance.

The name of the label is inspired by the small blue tractor used by Yiannis Boutaris during the first plantings in Naoussa in the 1970s. Today, the wine also honors the collaboration of Kir-Yianni Estate with vine growers from Central and Western Macedonia, in areas such as Imathia, Pella and Goumenissa.

It is a red wine for everyday tables that want something more than a simple red. It pairs nicely with grilled meats, hearty casseroles, meatballs, pasta with rich sauces, stuffed vegetables with minced meat, cold cuts, burgers and potatoes au gratin.
