Apla Rosé Magnum Oenops Wines
€32,30
The Apla Rosé Magnum Oenops Wines is the 1.5L large-format bottle of Apla Rosé, a dry rosé wine based on three Greek red varieties: Xinomavro, Limniona and Mavroudi. Xinomavro brings freshness, tension and a subtle herbal-tomato touch, Limniona adds juicy red fruit, while Mavroudi contributes a little more depth and earthy intensity.
Oenops Wines by Nikos Karatzas, based in Drama, works with Greek varieties and selected vineyards, looking for pure, modern expressions without unnecessary weight. In Apla Rosé, the grapes are chilled before vinification, carefully sorted and gently pressed, in order to preserve the delicate colour, pure fruit and vibrant acidity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel and concrete tanks, while the short ageing on fine lees gives a little extra texture without disturbing the wine’s fresh character.
In the glass, it has a pale salmon colour and aromas of strawberry, white cherry, mandarin, orange, pink grapefruit and subtle herbs. On the palate, it is fresh, crisp and enjoyable, with beautiful balance between red fruit and citrus freshness. The Magnum bottle makes it ideal for groups, summer tables, celebrations or any moment when you want a rosé that is easy to drink but still has character.
It pairs very nicely with pizza, pasta with red sauce, salads, grilled vegetables, fish, seafood, chicken, Mediterranean dishes with tomato and herbs, as well as cheese platters for more relaxed sharing.
