Apla Rosé Oenops Wines
€14,40
The Apla Rosé Oenops Wines is a dry rosé wine that shows how beautifully three Greek red varieties can work together: Xinomavro, Limniona and Mavroudi. Xinomavro brings tension, freshness and that distinctive tomato-like, herbal touch, Limniona adds juicy red fruit, while Mavroudi contributes depth and a more earthy feel.
Oenops Wines by Nikos Karatzas, based in Drama, works with Greek varieties and selected growers from different regions of Greece, without weighing the wines down with heavy oak or unnecessary intervention. In Apla Rosé, each variety is vinified separately, with grape cooling, careful sorting and gentle pressing, so the wine keeps its pure fruit, delicate colour and vibrant acidity.
In the glass, it has a pale salmon colour and aromas of strawberry, cherry, pomegranate, pink grapefruit, mandarin and subtle herbal notes. On the palate, it is fresh, flavourful and direct, with crisp acidity, medium body and a finish that leaves a beautiful impression of red fruit and citrus.
It is a rosé for many occasions: easy enough for a relaxed aperitif, but also gastronomic enough to stand next to food. It pairs very well with stuffed vine leaves, stuffed tomatoes and peppers, fruit-based salads, pizza, pasta with red or lightly spicy sauces, grilled vegetables, chicken and Mediterranean dishes with tomato and herbs.
