Vinsanto First Release Estate Argyros

Vinsanto First Release by Estate Argyros is the younger, brighter and immediately enjoyable version of Santorini’s legendary sweet wine. Made from Assyrtiko, Athiri and Aidani, from very old vines in Episkopi, it carries all the power of the sun, salinity and volcanic soil in an amber, concentrated sip.

The grapes are sun-dried under the Santorini sun, so that sugars and aromas are naturally concentrated, while ageing in old vessels and wooden barrels gives it depth without losing its freshness. In the glass it reveals dried apricot, fig, orange peel, bergamot, honey, caramel, nuts and hints of chocolate.

On the palate it is sweet, rich and velvety, but the acidity of Assyrtiko keeps it lively, clean and never tiring. Enjoy it chilled next to syrupy pastries, crème brûlée, nut tarts, chocolate desserts, halva or aged cheeses. A Vinsanto that closes a meal with style, but can easily become the reason for dessert night itself.
