Vassaltis Vinsanto 500ml 2020 is a sweet white wine made from Assyrtiko with small amounts of Aidani and Athiri, expressing the traditional character of Santorini Vinsanto with distinctive elegance. The grapes are sun-dried for about 11 days and the wine matures for 4.5 years in French oak barrels, gaining depth and complexity. On the nose, aromas of orange peel, caramel, honey, butter, toasted notes, and dried fruits such as fig, raisin, and apricot stand out. On the palate, it is rich and velvety, with beautiful balance between sweetness and acidity, while the finish is long and layered. It pairs beautifully with caramel-based desserts, dried fruit desserts, blue cheeses, and dark chocolate.
