Santorini Kouloura Magnum by Artemis Karamolegos Winery is the classic Santorini intensity of Kouloura, in a bottle that instantly makes the table feel more special. Based mainly on Assyrtiko, with a small contribution from Athiri and Aidani, it brings to the glass lemon, grapefruit, white-fleshed peach, white flowers, dough and wet stone.
The name Kouloura refers to the traditional pruning method of Santorini, where the vines are woven low like a basket in order to withstand the wind, the sun and the dry landscape. Vinification keeps the wine pure and full of energy, while ageing on the lees gives it a fuller texture, depth and seriousness.
On the palate it is dry, sharp and salty, with juicy citrus fruit, intense minerality and a finish that stretches in length. The magnum bottle gives it an even more premium presence and makes it ideal for large gatherings, fish, shellfish, shrimps, octopus, seafood pasta or a proper Sunday seafood feast with full Santorini energy.
