Red Biblia Chora Estate

18,50

Red by Biblia Chora Estate is a wine that stands confidently between Greek and Bordeaux-inspired style, without becoming heavy or overly strict. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot give depth, dark fruit and structure, while the small contribution of Agiorgitiko brings a softer, juicier sensation to the finish. From the foothills of Pangaio, Biblia Chora Estate has built here a red wine with a clean line, balance and consistently strong character.

In the glass it has a deep purple, almost blackish-red colour and reveals blackcurrant, cherry, ripe red fruit, vanilla, cedar, spices and hints of milk chocolate. Ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels gives it a rounder texture, depth and complex character, while keeping the fruit pure and lively.

On the palate it is dry, rich and well-structured, with velvety tannins, lovely intensity and a long finish that leaves fruit, spices and subtle oak. Open it with grilled beef, oven-baked lamb, tomato-based stews, pork roll, sausages, cold cuts or soft mature cheeses. A red wine that can stand at the table today, but also has the patience to evolve beautifully in the cellar.
