Nemea Réserve Dryopi Estate
€18,60
Driopi Nemea Reserve is a dry red PDO Nemea wine made from 100% Agiorgitiko, sourced from old vines in Koutsi, Nemea, at an altitude of approximately 380 metres. The clay-limestone soils and steep vineyard slopes provide good drainage and contribute to the wine’s concentration and structure.
Vinification includes a long 25-day maceration under controlled temperature conditions. This is followed by 12 months of maturation in French oak barrels, 70% new and 30% second-use, and a further 6 months of bottle ageing.
The nose reveals complex aromas of ripe red fruits, with distinctive notes of eucalyptus and herbs. On the palate, it is rich and fleshy, with a full, creamy texture, ripe and soft tannins and a velvety, persistent finish. It has an ageing potential of 5–10 years, depending on the vintage.
It pairs ideally with T-bone steak, beef and other grilled red meats, rooster cooked in wine with pasta, lamb and mature cheeses.
