Pyritis Mega Cuvée Magnum by Artemis Karamolegos Winery is the impressive large-format bottle of one of the most powerful Assyrtiko wines of Santorini. It comes from three selected old vineyards in Pyrgos and Megalochori, with vines over 120 years old, and brings to the glass all the concentration, salinity and volcanic intensity of the island.
Vinification is discreet, aiming to let the place and the power of Assyrtiko be clearly expressed. Ageing on the lees gives it volume, depth and a richer texture, without losing its sharp energy. In the glass it reveals ripe stone fruit, citrus fruit, flint, wet stone and intense minerality.
On the palate it is generous, salty and electric, with high acidity, finesse and a finish that lingers for a long time. The magnum bottle gives it an even more premium presence and makes it ideal for ageing, large gatherings and bold pairings with oily fish, shellfish, lobster, shrimps, salmon carpaccio or seafood pasta. An Assyrtiko with serious intensity, but also incredible elegance.
