Platia Single Vineyard Artemis Karamolegos Winery

Papas Single Vineyard by Artemis Karamolegos Winery is an Assyrtiko with serious depth, without losing its lively, electric side. It comes from a special vineyard site in Megalochori, with very old vines over 150 years old, and brings to the glass all the concentration, salinity and volcanic intensity of Santorini.

Vinification keeps the wine pure and authentic, allowing the vineyard site to speak first. Ageing on the lees gives it volume, texture and complexity, while time in the bottle helps it unfold an even deeper and more charming character.

In the glass it reveals citrus blossom, nectarine, lime, sweet herbs, flint and intense minerality. On the palate it is elegant, salty and impressively precise, with sharp acidity and a finish that lingers for a long time. It needs a large glass, a little time to open up and dishes with seafood intensity, such as mackerel savoro, shellfish, grilled fish, seafood dakos or ravioli with goat cheese cream.
