Pink Bang by Wine Art Estate is a rosé with a more expressive personality, without losing the freshness and easy-going feel you want from a wine of this style. It is based on Touriga Nacional, a Portuguese variety that finds a different, cooler and more expressive side in Drama. The result is a rosé with a pale colour, fuller body and playful mood, ideal for anyone looking for something livelier than the classic delicate rosé.
Vinification is carried out with a brief bleeding of the must from the Touriga Nacional tank and extraction for just one to two hours, so the wine gains its soft rosé colour without excessive extraction. It then ferments in stainless steel tanks at controlled low temperatures, keeping its aromatic profile clean and its fresh energy intact.
In the glass, it shows aromas that move between candies, flowers, cotton candy, night-blooming flowers, potpourri and white-fleshed peach. On the palate, it is fuller than its colour suggests, with refreshing acidity, a smooth feel and persistent length. It has that fun side that makes it easy to enjoy on its own, but also enough intensity to stand next to food.
It pairs beautifully with summer vegetable dishes in olive oil, stuffed tomatoes and peppers, pizza margherita, spaghetti napolitana, but also with spicier flavours, such as tandoori chicken, aromatic rice with lamb or fried vegetable samosas. It is a rosé for tables with colour, energy and a more relaxed mood.
