Dyo Elies by Kir-YElies by KYianni H|ρ
€18,60
Dyo Elies by Kir-Yianni Estate is a red wine with depth, intensity and a beautiful balance between power and finesse. Syrah brings richness, spice and Mediterranean intensity, while Merlot adds a rounder texture, ripe fruit and a more velvety feel on the palate. The result is a full-bodied wine, but not a rough one, with a character that clearly shows Kir-Yianni Estate’s experience in red blends from Naoussa.
In the glass, it has a deep ruby red color. The nose is complex, with ripe red fruit, pepper, caramel, chocolate and smoke. On the palate, it is rich, full and well structured, with freshness that keeps the intensity balanced and a long, spicy finish.
The winemaking handles each variety separately, so its identity remains clear before the final blend is created. Merlot ferments in stainless steel tanks, preserving its fruit and softer side, while Syrah, after fermentation, moves into French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 14 months of ageing. The first blend is made around 6 months after harvest and the final blend shortly before bottling, giving the wine a more integrated, serious and complete feel.
Dyo Elies is a red wine for the table, for slow food and for moments when you want something fuller in the glass. It works beautifully with grilled and slow-cooked meats, beef, lamb, game, mushrooms, rich red sauces, smoky flavors and mature cheeses. A firm but well-balanced red wine, with spicy energy, ripe fruit and the more cosmopolitan side of Kir-Yianni Estate in Naoussa.
