Alfega White by Domaine Hatzimichalis is a white wine that brings together Malagousia, Robola and Sauvignon Blanc in a fresh, aromatic and very balanced blend. The name Alfega is based on the first and last letter of the Greek alphabet, as a reference to the estate’s philosophy of controlling the entire journey of the wine, from the vineyard to the bottle.
The varieties come from selected sub-mountainous vineyards in Atalanti Valley and are vinified separately, with fermentation under controlled temperature. This way, Malagousia gives aromatic intensity, Robola brings energy and purity, while Sauvignon Blanc adds freshness and a more cosmopolitan feel.
In the glass, it brings green apple, pear, tropical fruit, apricot, citrus and subtle herbal notes. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, with a fruity character, pleasant acidity, a slightly creamy texture and a long, clean finish.
It pairs very well with Greek fish meze, grilled or fried fish, chicken with a light white sauce, green salads, pasta with white sauces, lemon pork and grilled vegetables. It is a white wine that easily fits on the table, but has enough personality not to go unnoticed.
