Vorinos White by Silva Daskalaki Estate is a fresh, bright and enjoyably Cretan Vidiano. It comes from vineyards in Heraklion, Crete, and brings to the glass all the warm energy of the island, but with a refreshing, elegant mood.
On the nose it has peach, nectarine, white flowers, lemon, bergamot and a subtle mineral sensation that gives it extra interest. Vinification in stainless steel tanks keeps the fruit pure and lively, while short ageing on the fine lees gives it a little more volume and texture.
On the palate it is dry, refreshing and balanced, with vibrant acidity, medium body and a fruity finish that recalls ripe nectarine and citrus fruit. It pairs perfectly with seafood, grilled fish, fried small fish, vegetable stews, white meats and fresh cheeses. A white wine that is easy to drink, but has enough character not to disappear at the table.
