Techni Alypias Red Wine Art Estate

Techni Alipias Red by Wine Art Estate is a red wine with a classic base but a clearly Drama-driven identity. Cabernet Sauvignon meets Agiorgitiko, with the first bringing structure, herbal notes and darker fruit, while the second adds juiciness, spice and a softer Greek character. The grapes come from Mikrochori and Kali Vrisi, two areas that help the wine preserve intensity, clarity and lovely balance.
The two varieties are vinified separately, with a few days of pre-fermentation cold maceration for better extraction of colour, phenolics and structure. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with regular pump-overs, while after malolactic fermentation the wine is transferred to French oak barrels, one third of them new, for 12 months of ageing. This gives it depth and a more integrated character, without losing the freshness of the fruit.
In the glass, it has a deep ruby colour and aromas of cherry, sour cherry, sweet spices, blackberry, pepper and subtle leather notes. On the palate, it is full, fleshy and juicy, with bright acidity, succulent tannins and a long finish. It is a red wine that can easily work on an everyday table, but also has enough intensity for more thoughtful dishes.
Try it with lasagna, cannelloni with minced meat, spaghetti Bolognese, juicy burgers, eggplant dishes, cured meats or aged yellow cheeses. It works especially well with cooked red sauces and sweet spices, as they match beautifully with the Agiorgitiko and the oak.
