Syrah by Domaine Porto Carras is a red wine with intensity, depth and a clear Mediterranean personality. It has the power you expect from Syrah, but it is crafted in a way that keeps it elegant, balanced and enjoyable in the glass.
Traditional red vinification, with selected yeasts and controlled temperatures, helps the fruit stay clean and expressive. Ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels adds depth, a more velvety texture and spicy notes, without making the wine feel heavy or overly oaky.
In the glass, it shows a dark purple color and aromas of ripe black fruit, plum, chocolate and smoke, along with subtle hints of vanilla and sweet spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with soft tannins, lovely balance and a spicy finish that keeps the flavor lively.
It comes from the organic vineyards of Domaine Porto Carras in Sithonia, Halkidiki, where the slopes of Meliton, the sea breeze and the Mediterranean light give red wines ripeness, freshness and character. It is ideal with game, beef fillet, lamb, rich tomato-based stews, grilled mushrooms and dark chocolate desserts. Serve it at 16-18°C and give it a little time in the glass.
