Magnus Baccata by Domaine Porto Carras is a red wine with intensity, depth and a clearly premium feel, without becoming heavy or overdone. Syrah brings the spicy, fleshy side of the wine, while Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure, tannins and that dark fruity character that gives length in the glass.
On the nose, it shows ripe black fruit, forest fruit, sweet spices, chocolate and subtle notes of vanilla and smoke from the oak. Ageing for 12 months in new French oak barrels gives it volume, a more velvety texture and a complex character, without covering the fruit.
On the palate, it is rich, full and well structured, with tannins that have power but also a nice sense of evolution. This is not a simple everyday red; it is a wine for food, for bolder flavors and for moments when you want something with character at the table.
From the organic vineyards of Domaine Porto Carras in Sithonia, Magnus Baccata carries the Mediterranean side of Halkidiki: ripe fruit, sun, sea breeze and an elegance that keeps the wine balanced. Open it with game, beef, lamb, smoked meats, slow-cooked dishes with rich sauces or mature yellow cheeses. Ideally, serve it at 16-18°C and give it some time in the glass.
