Plano Assyrtiko Wine Art Estate
€16,00
Plano Assyrtiko by Wine Art Estate is a different, more northern expression of Assyrtiko, with Drama giving the variety its own signature. The grapes come from a single vineyard in Kali Vrisi, on the eastern slopes of Mount Menoikio, creating a wine with clarity, intensity and a more mineral, austere character.
During vinification, pre-fermentation cold maceration is applied, allowing the aromatic elements of the grapes to pass more vividly into the must. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by extended contact with the fine lees, giving the wine volume, texture and complexity without blurring its freshness.
In the glass, it has a light lemon colour and aromas of lemon, white-fleshed peach, sea salt and mineral salt. On the palate, it is sharp, fresh and structured, with medium body, vibrant acidity and a lingering finish. It is an Assyrtiko with real character, ideal for anyone looking for something clean, lemony and food-friendly in the glass.
Next to food, it works beautifully with fish, shellfish, seafood, sushi, sea bass carpaccio, crayfish tartare or dishes with lemony and salty notes. It also has ageing potential, so it is not only a wine for immediate enjoyment, but also a bottle that can evolve nicely over the next few years.
