Mavro Provato White Nico Lazaridi

Black Sheep White by Nico Lazaridi is a white wine that does not take itself too seriously, but knows very well what it is doing in the glass. With Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, it plays in a fresh, aromatic and slightly playful style, bringing together crisp acidity, juicy fruit and a more modern mood that perfectly suits its name.

In the glass it has a pale lemon colour with greenish highlights and reveals lime, grapefruit, lychee, green apple, peach, white flowers and a light note of freshly cut grass. Vinification at low temperatures keeps the aromas pure and lively, while short ageing on the fine lees gives it a little more body and balance.

On the palate it is dry, refreshing and pleasantly energetic, with medium body, pure fruity intensity and a finish that easily pulls you into the next sip. Open it with salads, fish, seafood, white cheeses, chicken with herbs, Asian flavours or simply at a relaxed table that calls for something aromatic, fresh and easy-going. A white wine with attitude, but also a very easy character.
