Magic Mountain White by Nico Lazaridi is one of Drama’s most distinctive premium white wines, with richness, aroma and that barrel-aged elegance that makes it stand out without becoming heavy. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it shows the riper, more gastronomic side of the variety, far from the simply fresh and green style.
In the glass it has a clear yellow colour and reveals stone and tropical fruit, citrus fruit, green apple, mango, pear, basil, cut grass, vanilla and sweet spices. Six months of ageing in selected oak barrels with the fine lees gives it volume, richness and a more complex texture, while keeping the acidity and aromatic energy of Sauvignon Blanc alive.
On the palate it is dry, full-bodied and intense, with crisp acidity, a creamy sensation and a long finish that leaves fruit, spices and a fine smoky hint. It shows its best self next to oily fish, smoked salmon, shrimps, white meats, poultry with light sauces or vegetable risotto. A white wine with character, depth and enough shine for tables that call for something more distinctive.
