Mavro Provato Red Magnum Nico Lazaridi

Black Sheep Red Magnum by Nico Lazaridi is the large-format bottle of a red wine with juicy fruit, relaxed attitude and enough character not to disappear at the table. Made from Syrah and Merlot, from the vineyards at the foothills of Pangaio, it combines the velvety side of Merlot with the spicier, darker energy of Syrah.

In the glass it has a deep purple colour and reveals ripe red fruit, plum, black cherry, pepper and subtle oak notes. Short contact with wood gives it a little extra depth and roundness, while keeping the fruit and its easy-drinking mood in the foreground.

On the palate it is dry, soft and juicy, with velvety texture, gentle tannins and a fruity, peppery finish. The Magnum bottle makes it ideal for groups of friends, lively tables and dishes that call for a red wine that is versatile but not boring.
