Mavra Nera Red by Passas Winery is a dry red blend of local Mavroudi and fruit-forward Syrah, grown in Stavrochori, Xanthi.
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing in oak barrels. This process gives the wine its smooth tannins, full texture and subtle oak character.
Deep ruby in colour, it offers aromas of forest fruit, dried plum and blackcurrant, complemented by notes of vanilla and chocolate. Balanced and smooth on the palate, it finishes with impressive length and complexity.
Serve at 16–18°C with red meat, mushrooms, grilled vegetables or mature cheeses.
