Malagousia Kir-Yianni Yianni Domaine

Malagousia by Kir-Yianni Estate is a white wine that shows the more elegant and clean side of the variety. It comes from Samaropetra, in Agios Panteleimonas, Amyndeon, from a high-altitude vineyard with a cool climate and sandy loam soils. These conditions help Malagousia keep freshness and intensity, without becoming heavy or overly aromatic.
In the glass, it has a bright lemon-green color and an expressive nose, with white flowers, white-fleshed peach, quince and citrus notes. On the palate, it is full but well balanced, with lively acidity that brings energy and clarity. The fruity and floral aromas continue nicely through the finish, leaving a refreshing, bright impression.
The winemaking focuses on highlighting the variety without adding unnecessary weight. The grapes go through strict sorting, followed by pre-fermentation cold maceration, while fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. Contact with the fine lees for 6 months and gentle stirring give more texture, volume and length, while keeping the wine fresh and clean in character.
It is a Malagousia that can easily stand on its own, but also has enough structure for the table. It pairs well with Mediterranean appetizers, salads, fresh cheeses, fish, seafood and dishes with aromatic herbs.
