Louroi Platia Single Vineyard Magnum by Artemis Karamolegos Winery is the large-format bottle of one of the rarest and most expressive versions of Santorini Assyrtiko. It comes from the historic Louroi Platia vineyard site, on the lower slopes of Pyrgos, with very old vines over 150 years old that give a wine with impressive concentration, salinity and volcanic precision.

Vinification keeps the character of the vineyard site pure and authentic, while ageing on the lees adds volume, depth and a more layered texture. The Magnum bottle gives it an even more impressive presence and helps it evolve beautifully over time, making it ideal for cellaring as well as for large gatherings with style.

In the glass it reveals bergamot, citron, lime, pear, white-fleshed peach, white flowers, wet stone, flint and hints of dough. On the palate it is full-bodied, crystalline and salty, with sharp acidity, intense minerality and a long finish. It needs a large glass, a little time to open up and dishes with character, such as shellfish, raw fish, lobster, shrimps, grilled fish, sushi or white meats with lemony intensity.
