Iris Gentilini Winery & Vineyards is a dry red PGI Slopes of Ainos wine, made from 100% Mavrodaphne of Kefalonia. It is a fresh, fruity and unoaked expression of the variety, with the elegant character that Gentilini brings to its Kefalonian wines. On the nose, aromas of sour cherry, cherry, wild mint, licorice and subtle floral notes stand out. On the palate it is juicy, balanced and pleasantly soft, with round tannins and a fruity finish. It pairs beautifully with lamb, grilled meats, cured meats, pasta with red sauces and cheeses.
