Idylle d’Achinos by La Tour Melas Winery is one of the best-known Greek rosé wines, clearly inspired by Provence but with its own Greek signature. It is made from Grenache Noir, Syrah and Agiorgitiko, a blend that brings freshness, red fruit, fine structure and elegant aromatic intensity.
Vinification is adapted depending on the variety and vineyard plot, with bleeding or direct pressing and short skin contact where needed. Cold fermentation and ageing on fine lees for 4 months give the wine more texture, balance and length, without losing its refreshing side.
In the glass, it has a pale pink-peach colour and brings flowers, strawberry, cherry, red fruit, citrus, orange and a subtle mineral feel. On the palate, it is fresh, elegant and crisp, with pleasant acidity, fruity intensity and a clean, enjoyable finish.
It pairs very well with sushi, shrimp, salmon, seafood, summer salads, white meats, Greek vegetable dishes, pizza, pasta with light red sauces, charcuterie and soft cheeses. It is a rosé for aperitif, for the table and for those moments when you want something refreshing, stylish and genuinely well-crafted.
