Cyrus One La Tour Melas

Cyrus One Magnum by La Tour Melas is the 1.5L version of Cyrus One, a red blend that stands between two places: Nemea, with juicy and fruity Agiorgitiko, and Achinos in Fthiotida, where Merlot and Cabernet Franc bring structure, freshness and a more Bordeaux-style expression.

Each variety is vinified separately, so that its individual character remains clear. Spontaneous fermentation, partial malolactic fermentation in barrel for Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and ageing for 18 months in small and large oak vats give the wine depth, texture and spicy intensity, without making it heavy.

In the glass, it has a deep cherry colour with magenta highlights and brings raspberry, blackcurrant, cherry, plum, smoke, spices and a subtle oak feel. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, lively and balanced, with fresh acidity, soft tannins and a bright, fruity finish.

The Magnum bottle makes it an even better choice for the table, gifting or ageing, bringing more presence without changing the wine’s fresh and elegant character. It pairs very well with rib-eye, burgers, beef bourguignon, lamb, pork with BBQ sauce, mushrooms, dishes with red sauces and mature cheeses.
