Cuvée Spéciale Brut Domaine Karanikas

The Cuvée Spéciale Brut by Karanika Estate is a sparkling white wine from Amyntaio that shows just how seriously Xinomavro can perform in the world of bubbles. It is produced with the traditional method of secondary fermentation in the bottle, mainly from Xinomavro with a small addition of Assyrtiko, creating a wine with energy, purity and beautifully crafted mousse.

In the glass, it has a bright straw-yellow colour and fine, persistent bubbles. The nose moves between lemon, green apple, pear and citrus peel, with subtle notes of yeast, brioche and toasted bread from its time on the lees. On the palate, it is fresh, precise but not strict, with a creamy texture, crisp acidity and a dry, clean finish.
