Chardonnay Katsaros Estate
Chardonnay by Katsaros Estate is one of the most classic and recognizable Greek oak-aged white wines, but without losing its freshness. It comes from Krania, Mount Olympus, from vineyards with altitude and a cool microclimate, elements that help the variety preserve acidity, clarity and beautiful intensity.
Fermentation takes place in small French oak barrels, while the wine remains on the lees for 5–6 months. This gives it volume, a creamier texture and a complex character, without allowing the oak to completely cover the fruit.
In the glass, it brings yellow fruit, citrus, ripe apple, peach, wax, vanilla and subtle smoke. On the palate, it is full but fresh, with good acidity, roundness and a long finish.
It pairs very well with grilled fish, lobster, langoustines, shrimp with butter, chicken with creamy sauces, risotto, seafood pasta and white cheeses. This is a Chardonnay for those who want richness and oak, but with balance and seriousness.
