Chardonnay Stella by Katsaros Estate is the most premium and rare expression of the estate’s Chardonnay. It comes from Krania, Mount Olympus, from vineyards with altitude and a cool microclimate, which help the variety preserve freshness, intensity and clarity, even though the wine clearly has a rich and oak-aged character.
Fermentation and ageing take place in French oak barrels, while the wine also remains in the bottle for a significant period before release. This gives it a more complex texture, greater depth and an elegant creamy feel, without losing its lemony energy.
In the glass, it brings lemon, citrus, peach, grapefruit, butter, vanilla, brioche, honeycomb, smoke and hazelnut. On the palate, it is full, oily and structured, with crisp acidity and a long, complex finish.
It pairs with fatty grilled fish, lobster, langoustines, shrimp with butter, chicken with creamy sauces, carbonara, mushroom risotto and white meats with richer sauces. This is Chardonnay for those who want intensity, oak and seriousness, but with balance and a clean feel in the glass.
