Château Kaniaris White is a dry white wine PGI Geraneia, based on Chardonnay, bringing out a richer and more mature side of the vineyard at the foothills of the Geraneia Mountains. It is the white label of the Château Kaniaris range, with a more gastronomic character and a subtle influence from oak ageing.
It comes from the vineyard of Chateau Kaniaris in Megara, at the foothills of Geraneia, at an altitude of around 330 metres. The Mediterranean microclimate, with sea breezes from the Saronic and Corinthian Gulfs, helps the wine keep balance between the volume of Chardonnay and the freshness of the region.
In the glass, it brings banana, pear, citrus fruit, ripe white-fleshed fruit, vanilla, honey and a subtle sense of oak. On the palate, it is rich, rounded and balanced, with fruity intensity, full flavour and a finish that stays beautifully.
It pairs very well with pasta with white or creamy sauces, white meats, chicken, fish, seafood, shellfish and mature cheeses. It is a white wine for the table, with enough body for food and enough freshness to be enjoyed pleasantly on its own.
