Cabernet Sauvignon Hatzimichalis Estate
€20,30
Cabernet Sauvignon by Domaine Hatzimichalis is one of the most historic red labels of Greek wine. It was the estate’s first label and one of the first to show that Cabernet Sauvignon can give a serious, high-quality result in Greece, with Atalanti Valley giving it fruit, structure and beautiful balance.
It comes from selected privately owned vineyard sites of Domaine Hatzimichalis in Atalanti Valley. Vinification follows the classic red winemaking method under controlled conditions and the wine ages for at least 12 months in 228L French oak barrels, gaining depth, a more integrated texture and subtle oak notes.
In the glass, it brings black forest fruit, blackberry, blackcurrant, plum, green bell pepper, eucalyptus and vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied, complex and structured, with ripe fruit, lively acidity, firm tannins and a long finish.
It pairs very well with T-bone steak, rib-eye, grilled beef steak, lamb with herbs, lamb chops, meatballs, pork gyros, burgers, stews and mature cheeses. It is a Cabernet Sauvignon with classic character, Greek history and enough power to stand next to intense flavours.
