Areti Red Biblia Chora Estate
€19,90
Areti Red by Biblia Chora Estate is an Agiorgitiko that left Nemea and found a new expression on the slopes of Pangaio. It is one of those red wines that keep the charm of the variety, meaning juicy red fruit and a soft, velvety sensation, but give it a more northern structure, freshness and seriousness. Here, the estate plays cleverly with a purely Greek variety, without making it either heavy or predictable.
In the glass it has a deep red colour with violet highlights and reveals wild cherry, cherry jam, berries, chocolate, vanilla and spices. Ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels gives it depth, round tannins and a more complex texture, while keeping the fruit clear and in the foreground.
On the palate it is dry, generous and balanced, with soft structure, fruity intensity and a long finish. Give it a little time in the glass and open it with rich cooked meats, lamb, tomato-based stews, cold cuts, mushrooms or aged cheeses. An Agiorgitiko with character, ease and lovely ageing potential, for tables that call for something Greek but not ordinary.
