MV Bio Anatolikos Vineyards is an expressive organic red wine from Avdira, Thrace, which authentically highlights the dynamism of the Thracian vineyard and the distinctive character of the coastal terroir of the region. It is produced from 60% Mavroudi, 20% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, is dry in style, and comes from the estate’s organically cultivated vineyards.
In the glass, it displays a bright deep purple color, while on the nose complex aromas of ripe red and black fruits, dried plum and fig stand out, together with notes of pine honey, coffee, cocoa, and roasted almond. On the palate, it is rich, balanced, and complex, with gentle tannins, balanced acidity, plenty of fruit, and a long finish.
MV Bio Anatolikos Vineyards matures for 12 months in French oak barrels, is not filtered before bottling, and is an ideal choice for those seeking a quality Greek organic red wine with depth and character. It pairs beautifully with white and red casserole meats, BBQ, game, pies, and ripened cheeses. It is best served at 16-18°C and its alcoholic strength is 14% vol.
