Alma Rosé by Pavlidis Estate is a rosé wine with a fresh, bright and very well-crafted personality. The name Alma means soul in Spanish and here it is expressed through a blend of Agiorgitiko and Syrah, from vineyard sites in Drama that reach up to 500 meters in altitude. The region gives the wine this lovely balance between clean fruit, liveliness and elegant structure.
In winemaking, direct pressing and fermentation under controlled conditions are followed, in order to preserve aromatic purity and the delicate rosé expression. The wine then ages for 6 months in stainless steel and oak tanks with the fine lees, gaining fuller texture and better length, without losing its light and refreshing character.
In the glass, it has a bright pale salmon color with pink highlights. The nose moves through grapefruit, blood orange, peach and juicy stone fruits. On the palate it is light, with pronounced acidity, clean fruit and a fresh, persistent finish. It is one of those rosés that opens easily as an aperitif, but also has enough body to stand next to shrimp, crayfish, small fried fish, fresh salads and dishes with a summery mood.
