Emphasis Syrah Domaine Pavlidis

Emphasis Syrah by Pavlidis Estate is a red wine with a deep, dark fruit expression and a strong sense of structure. It comes from a selected vineyard plot on the slopes of Mount Menoikio, at an altitude of around 400 meters, where low yields help Syrah express concentration, clarity and ageing potential.

In winemaking, Pavlidis Estate focuses on the right harvest timing and careful extraction, in order to keep balance between aromatic depth and tannins. The wine ages for 16 months in French oak barrels and then remains for at least 12 months in the bottle, gaining a more integrated texture, spicy character and greater complexity.

In the glass, it has a deep purple color with violet highlights. The nose moves through blackberry, forest fruits, sour cherry and subtle oak hints. On the palate it is full, dense and rich, with ripe tannins that are beautifully integrated and a finish that blends fruit with spices. It is a Syrah that can be opened now with intense food, but also has serious ageing potential for 15 years or even longer.

At the table, it needs dishes with depth and substance: grilled or slow-cooked beef, meat stews, BBQ and medium-intensity hard cheeses. Best served at 16-18°C, so it can clearly show its fruit, structure and spicier side.
