Agiorgitiko
Agiorgitiko is the signature red grape variety of the PDO wine zone of Nemea and one of Greece’s most versatile and widely planted indigenous grapes. What makes Agiorgitiko especially compelling is the remarkable range of wine styles it can produce—from fresh, fruit-forward rosé wines (dry or semi-dry), to structured, age-worthy red wines, as well as sweet dessert styles. Typically, Agiorgitiko yields wines with a medium body, moderate acidity, and soft, well-integrated tannins, making them approachable yet expressive. In terms of flavor profile, Agiorgitiko is known for its red fruit character, featuring aromas and flavors of strawberry, cherry, and raspberry, often complemented by milk caramel notes, particularly in younger red and rosé wines.
