Sinoro Skouras Estate
€31,00
Synoro by Domaine Skouras is an expressive dry red wine with the designation PGI Peloponnese, combining power, finesse, and age-worthy character. It is produced from 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, and 20% Agiorgitiko, from three neighboring vineyards at an altitude of approximately 650 meters, while the vintage shown as current is 2021.
In the glass, it shows a deep purple color with intensity, while on the nose aromas of violet, rose, lavender, cherry, sour cherry, blueberry, and cassis, together with notes of vanilla, butterscotch, cinnamon, green pepper, tobacco, chocolate, and cigar, stand out. On the palate, it is intense and layered, with fresh acidity, quality tannins, and a long, complex finish.
Synoro is vinified with each variety separately in stainless steel tanks and matures for 13 months in French oak barrels, of which 50% are new and 50% second use, followed by 12 months of bottle ageing. It is an ideal choice for those seeking a Greek dry red wine with depth and ageing potential. It pairs very nicely with red meats, game, dishes with rich sauces, and aged cheeses.
