Sauvignon Blanc Magnum Alpha Doaine

Sauvignon Blanc Magnum by Alpha Estate brings the clean, aromatic profile of the white Sauvignon Blanc into a 1.5L bottle, ideal for dinners, gatherings and gifts that need something more impressive than the classic bottle. It is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, from the Paidia and Alfeta vineyard sites in the Amyndeon winegrowing zone, within the cool environment of Florina that helps the variety keep intensity, freshness and clear aromatic expression.
In the winery, Alpha Estate works with pre-fermentation cold maceration, fermentation at graduated temperatures and 4 months on the fine lees with periodic stirring. This gives the wine a fuller texture and lovely mouthfeel, without losing the fresh, lively side of Sauvignon Blanc.
In the glass, it is bright, with a pale yellow colour and greenish highlights. The nose shows citrus fruit, passion fruit and a sweet hint of melon, while on the palate it is full, smooth and balanced, with freshness, finesse and a lasting finish. The Magnum bottle also gives it a more festive character, without changing the essence: this is a white wine with intensity, clarity and easy serving appeal.
It pairs beautifully with seafood, raw or steamed shellfish, grilled fish, pasta with creamy sauces, grilled vegetables, sushi, Asian flavours and soft goat cheeses.
