Samaropetra Kir-Yianni Domaine
€13,70
Samaropetra by Kir-Yianni Estate is a white wine from Sauvignon Blanc that shows how well this variety can work in the cool climate of Amyndeon. It comes from the region of Florina, from vineyards at 600-700 meters altitude, with sandy soils, cool winds and the influence of the nearby lakes, elements that help the grape keep intensity, freshness and a clean aromatic character.
In the glass, it has a bright lemon color with green highlights. The nose moves through classic Sauvignon Blanc territory, with green pepper, asparagus, freshly cut grass, citrus, white flowers and peach. On the palate, it is crisp, full and balanced, with lively acidity and a long finish that leaves a clean, refreshing feel.
The winemaking keeps the wine bright and expressive. The grapes go through strict sorting, followed by pre-fermentation maceration, while fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. Contact with the fine lees for around 3 months, with gentle periodic stirring, adds more texture and volume without making the wine feel heavy.
Samaropetra is one of those white wines that can work as a relaxed glass before food, but also stand confidently at the table. It pairs beautifully with salads, grilled vegetables, fish, seafood, white meats and dishes with fresh herbs. An elegant, aromatic and refreshing white wine with the clear signature of Kir-Yianni Estate and the character of Amyndeon.
