Rosé by Haritatos Vineyard is the juiciest and most playful side of Kefalonian Mavrodaphne. Made from 100% Mavrodaphne, it leaves behind the heavy profile that we often have in mind for the variety and comes out in a rosé style that is fresh, spicy and enjoyably aromatic.
In the glass it has a vibrant pink colour and reveals strawberry, red cherry, raspberry, sanguine, pink grapefruit, flowers and subtle herbal notes. Vinification keeps the fruit pure and lively, while the natural strength of Mavrodaphne gives the wine character, without making it heavy.
On the palate it is dry, refreshing and fruity, with vibrant acidity, medium body, a creamy sensation and a peppery finish that makes it even more interesting. It pairs perfectly with salads, vegetable stews, pizza, pasta with red sauce, chicken, cold cuts, fresh cheeses or Mediterranean small plates. A rosé for every season, not just for a summer mood.
