Opium Lykos Winery
€17,20
Opium by Lykos Winery is a rosé wine made from Grenache Rouge, with a style that leans into the elegance of Provence while keeping its own juicier character. It is fresh, aromatic and quite expressive, without becoming heavy or overly sweet in style.
In the glass, it has a pale pink colour and brings strawberry, cherry, pomegranate, pink grapefruit, orange zest, rose and a subtle spicy touch of white pepper. As it opens, softer notes of caramel and cream appear, giving it extra depth.
On the palate, it is refreshing, fruity and balanced, with medium body, pleasant acidity and a rounded feel that makes it fuller than a simple summer rosé. The finish lingers nicely, with red fruit, citrus and a slightly spicy mood.
It pairs very well with sushi, shrimp, salmon, summer salads, chicken, Greek vegetable dishes, pizza, pasta with light red sauces, charcuterie and soft cheeses. It is a rosé for aperitif, but also for the table — fresh, stylish and interesting enough not to stay simply “easy”.
