Oneiropagida Assyrtiko Château Kaniaris
€7,60
Oneiropagida Assyrtiko by Chateau Kaniaris is a dry white wine PGI Geraneia, made from 100% Assyrtiko, bringing out a fresh and more Attic side of the variety. It comes from a privately owned vineyard at the foothills of the Geraneia Mountains, at an altitude of around 330 metres, with a Mediterranean climate, sea breezes and sandy-clay soil with a limestone base.
Vinification follows the white winemaking method and fermentation at 16°C, in order to preserve the freshness, the purity of the fruit and the characteristic acidity of Assyrtiko. The result is a white wine with a bright golden-yellow colour, a fruity and quite complex aromatic profile, without losing its ease and immediacy.
In the glass, it brings citrus fruit, ripe lemon, grapefruit, white-fleshed fruit and a subtle mineral feel. On the palate, it is fresh, clean and balanced, with good acidity, tasty intensity and a finish that lasts.
It pairs very well with shellfish, shrimps, fatty fish, grilled squid, chicken, pork with white sauce, salads with citrus fruit and dishes with a lemony character. It is an Assyrtiko that works easily as an aperitif, but also has the intensity to stand properly next to food.
