Mple Trakter White Kir-Yianni Domaine

Blue Tractor White by Kir-Yianni Estate is a white wine with clean fruit, freshness and a nice balance between aromatic expression and crisp character. Its blend brings together Assyrtiko, Viognier and Chardonnay, three varieties that work here as a team: Assyrtiko gives energy and lemony freshness, Viognier brings riper fruit and floral notes, while Chardonnay adds volume and a rounder feel on the palate.
The winemaking is carefully handled without making the wine feel heavy. The grapes are hand-harvested, go through sorting and each variety ferments separately in stainless steel tanks, at low controlled temperatures. Contact with the fine lees for 3 months, along with gentle stirring, gives it a fuller texture and better integration, while keeping its character fresh and direct.
In the glass, it has a bright lemon color and aromas of white peach, citrus and delicate flowers. On the palate, it is fruity, refreshing and crisp, with pleasant volume and a clean aftertaste that makes the second glass very easy.
Blue Tractor also carries a nice little story from Kir-Yianni Estate, inspired by the old blue tractor used by Yiannis Boutaris in the first plantings in Naoussa. The grapes come from selected vineyards of collaborating growers in areas of Central and Western Macedonia, such as Imathia, Pella and Goumenissa. An everyday white wine, but not a plain one, ideal for salads, grilled vegetables, fish, chicken, pasta with fresh vegetables and light creamy sauces.
