Historia White by Avantis Estate is a white wine made from Assyrtiko and Viognier that combines freshness, fruit and a more elegant, aromatic dimension. It comes from Evia, from the areas of Mytikas and Afrati, where Avantis Estate works with varieties in a clean and contemporary way.
Cold maceration for 12 hours and fermentation at controlled temperature keep the wine fresh and expressive. Assyrtiko gives acidity, energy and a mineral feel, while Viognier adds riper fruit, aroma and roundness.
In the glass, it has a lemon colour with green highlights and brings pear, melon, white peach, apricot and a subtle floral touch. On the palate, it is dry, fresh and balanced, with a fruity finish and a pleasant sense of minerality.
It pairs very well with fish, seafood, chicken, green salads, fresh cheeses, pasta with light sauces and dishes with lemony intensity. It is a white wine that drinks easily, but has enough character to make the glass more interesting.
