Agios Chronos White by Avantis Estate is a Viognier with rich body, aromatic intensity and a very gastronomic character. It is not a simple fresh white wine; it is riper, fuller and crafted in a way that gives it depth without making it heavy.
The grapes remain in a cooling chamber for 24 hours before vinification, while the wine matures for 6 months in 225L French oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation in barrel and bâtonnage give it a creamier texture, roundness and complex character.
In the glass, it has a pale lemon colour with golden highlights and brings ripe apricot, white peach, citrus, nectar, nuts and an elegant sense of oak. On the palate, it is dry, rounded and rich, with moderate acidity, full texture and a long, complex finish.
It pairs very well with mushroom risotto, fatty fish, crayfish, lobster pasta, bottarga, chicken with creamy sauces and dishes with butter or gentle spices. It is a white wine for anyone looking for something more distinctive, aromatic and serious, without losing enjoyment.
