Astraios by Messaréa Winery is the Assyrtiko of Tinos that enters the glass with pure island energy and serious confidence. Fresh, salty and full of energy, it shows a different side of the variety, more Cycladic, more windswept and with that mineral intensity that immediately puts you in an Aegean mood.
Vinification keeps the wine pure and bright, while ageing on the lees gives it more texture, volume and depth without losing its freshness. In the glass it reveals lime, grapefruit, lemon peel, fennel, white peach and wet stone.
On the palate it is dry, crisp and elegantly full, with vibrant acidity, lemony character and a subtle salty finish that lingers. It pairs perfectly with ceviche, sushi, shellfish, fish, lemon chicken, dolmades with egg-lemon sauce or pork with celery. A white wine for those who love Assyrtiko, but want to see it through the breeze of Tinos.
