Amethystos White by Domain Costa Lazaridi is one of those white wines that have built a name because they do exactly what they should: they are refreshing, aromatic, elegant and always enjoyable in the glass. The Amethystos range was created in 1992 and remains one of the estate’s most loved labels, with Drama giving here a white wine with pure fruit and beautiful intensity.
Sauvignon Blanc brings finesse, freshness and an exotic aromatic character, while Assyrtiko adds energy, structure and a sharper sensation on the palate. In the glass it reveals peach, mango, pineapple, lemon and subtle citrus notes, with a bright straw-yellow colour and green highlights.
On the palate it is dry, refreshing and full, with vibrant acidity and a long, fruity finish. Open it with fish, seafood, green salads, white cheeses, lemon chicken or pasta with vegetables. A white wine that plays easily at the everyday table, but has enough finesse to stand next to more thoughtful moments.
