Akres Red Stelvin by Domaine Skouras is a fresh dry red wine with emphasis on fruit and soft structure, ideal for everyday enjoyment. It belongs to the PGI Peloponnese category and is produced from 90% Agiorgitiko and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the 2024 vintage appearing as the current one on the market.
In the glass, it shows a bright violet color with a pinkish hue, while on the nose aromas of black cherries, blackberries, plum, violet, and dried herbs stand out. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, crisp, and elegant, with moderate acidity, soft round tannins, and a finish with hints of anise seed.
Akres Red Stelvin is vinified in stainless steel tanks, with short extraction, completion of malolactic fermentation, and short ageing on fine lees. It pairs very nicely with pizzas, pasta with red sauces, vegetable-based dishes cooked in oil, red meats, and semi-hard cheeses. Its alcoholic strength is 13% vol and the bottle size is 0.75 L.
